Description:
How hard could it be? You learned how to drive, how to pronounce radicchio and how to do that cool thing with your hair. So why not take up a musical instrument? You’ve always wanted to, and now’s the time, with four private 30-minute lessons at The Institute of Art, Music and Science.
The instructors at this non-profit (it started in 1990 as the Bellflower Conservatory) are thoughtful, supportive experts. While their individual instruction is invaluable, your savings can be precisely calculated: $105. Beautiful music, indeed.
No experience is necessary. If you know which end of a trumpet to blow on or how not to pick up a guitar by the neck, you’re ready to start. And with private instruction, the spotlight is all yours -- you won’t be intimidated by hot rocker dude or haughty classical chick. The lesson is tailored to your ability and comfort level. Great for kids, too, as starter lessons or to augment what they’re learning (or not) at school.
